Religious committee to answer citizens’ questions at Algiers mosque

The scientific council of the Algiers religious affairs announced the creation of a preaching committee at the Algiers “great mosque” in order to answer the citizens’ questions all along the holy month of Ramadan. The committee is due to carry on its activities beyond this period.

• According to the head of the scientific committee, Ammar Talbi this decision aimed at standing against fallacious and deceptive preaches widely spread in the Algerian mosques.
• He made it clear that this authority will not allow any other religious trend than that of the “Malaki” sustaining his argumentation by a concrete example occurred here in Algiers in which pamphlets were distributed to faithful treating those who do not pray of miscreant.
• According to the head of the preaching committee, kamel Bouzidi this operation will work for enlightening people and answer their questions. A hotline has been created to facilitate communication with citizens off duty hours.
