Revision of article 87 bis will raise employees' wages, Tayeb Louh says

New proposals related to article 87 bis of the law on job relations, is at the table of the PM for consideration soon, thing which will open discussion on the system of new wages increase, that are produced by mechanisms of considering wages of employees.

If government will realize its promise about abolition of the article 87 bis of the law on jobs and replace it by another one, as it did previously by announcing in many occasions, the new law will give a new impetus for the minimum national guaranteed wage, resulting in a financial impact in the wages of employees, and the application of this article will reflect automatically by eliminating allowances and grants within the minimum national guaranteed wage, which is estimated currently to 18.000 dinars, according to the last revision since two years.

Tayeb Louh explained to media, on the sidelines of a ceremony that was organized on the honor of the working woman, that his ministry ended, in coordination with social partners, the preparations of special reports including the new proposals that are related to article 87 bis of the law on employment, and which remained during the last stage a renewed demand for social partners including the general union of Algerian workers.

“These reports brought new proposals that are currently on the table of the prime minister”, the minister added.
