Road accidents kill 27 in Algeria
At least 27 people were killed and 637 were injured in 444 traffic accidents between December 6th and 12th in Algeria, a statement from Civil Protection department said Tuesday.

“Heavy rains which have been pouring on the county between December 11 and 15 killed four people and injured six,” said the statement.

Civil protection agents intervened to rescue 8 cars, 5 people and a bus as they were surrounded by snow in Tlemcen province (west of Algeria), Lieutenant Nassim Bernaoui told Echorouk Tuesday.

A wall collapsed in the town of Medea. There were no reports of casualties, said the same source.
