Samia Al-Makhloufi: “We Support Sonatrach Efforts To Reduce Hard Currency Bill Which Is Paid To Foreign Companies”

National Organization of Employers and Contractors would be involved in Sonatrach’s bid to reduce imports and hard currency that is paid to foreign companies by giving deals to Algerian national companies, President of the organization, Samia Al Makhloufi, said.

In an interview with the media on the sidelines of the National Oil and Gas Holding Conference that was organized by Sonatrach at Algiers International Conference Center, she explained that the organization will work hard to engage the institutions which belong to the organization in this program, especially since the national bureau of the organization includes institutions that are eligible for production and contracting.

According to the spokeswoman, this effort falls within the framework of reducing the import bill in hard currency and will contribute to raising the integration rate in this sector to 55% by 2030.
