Secretary General of Peasants’ National Union : we ask for determining meat price

Secretary General of the Peasants’ National Union Ahmed Alioui asked Algerian trade and agriculture ministries to take other systematic and control measures in addition to stop meat import in order to motivate stockbreeders.“Measures taken in a ministerial council left great satisfaction among stockbreeders who have started changing their mind one by one about slaughtering their sheep since Sunday’s morning,”  Alioui  told Echorouk Al Yaoumi Sunday.

 “However, the suspension of meat import for three months is a temporary solution which isn’t enough to solve the problem”, he added.

He believes that the government must consider the same importance of grains to meat merge it among sustained prices substances.”
