Security Plan to Protect Oil, Gas Fields Southern Algeria

Joint security services in the capital of Algerian gas Hassi R’Mal in Laghouat (southern Algeria), tightened the check points near the oil companies, oil and gas fields located in the industrial city, and to intensify combing operations in the deserts that are located near the second most important industrial area in the country, to ensure‭ the safety of persons and properties.‬

The process, which is supervised by the Fourth Military Region of the National People’s Army, came after the suicide attack that targeted the headquarters of the Regional National Gendarmerie in Ouargla (southern Algeria), as security services were put on high alert through the security plan for controling and monitoring suspicious movements, focusing on the intensification of patrols in the southern borders of the industrial area, and in the isolated gas companies, in addition to monitoring the movement of suspicious cars and check the identity of their owners using a very sophisticated wireless device.

In this regard, most of the large economic companies, including the foreign companies received strict instructions by the leadership of National People’s Army, which requires caution and vigilance on 24-hours, forcing them to close the main doors and opening them for the proffessional need only, in addition to activating the inspections of ‭vehicles ‭and trucks belonging to the economic companies active in the industrial region, and which are loaded with goods ‭coming from different localities‭. ‬
