Security services foiled terrorist and criminal plans in Algeria : reports

Security reports revealed that 30 percent of the arrested criminals by the national gendarmerie over the last three months were put under judicial control.

This number represents some 5,956 individuals and surpasses that of the criminals who have been remanded in custody during the same period that reached 7,325.

According to the reports, the national gendarmerie has foiled several criminal attempts dealing with weapons contraband and explosives, by seizing 146 riffles and 34 automatics in addition to 6,474 bullets of different calibres, as well as the seizure of some 408 kg of gun powder used in explosives.
