Security Services Seize Counterfeit Cosmetics Imported from Israel

Team of research and investigation of the local security services in Setif (east of Algeria) seized significant quantity of counterfeit cosmetics, which were made in Israel before being exported to Algeria in devious ways.

According to Echorouk sources, the security services obtained information about three people accustomed to the marketing of cosmetics made in Israel.

When security services launch investigations they discovered the warehouse that was exploited for this activity, which is located in Kasria neighborhood in Setif, and where they found significant quantities of cosmetics, before identifying the owners of the goods, who are operating without commercial registration, and without a license, using machinery and sophisticated equipment for the reproduction of licences. Security services also seized 588 boxes ready for marketing such as the shower gels that are made in Tel Aviv.

Investigations show that there are an import and export company from Oran (west of Algeria), that is implicated in the process. According to the security services, the quantity which was siezed is very large, valued at 65.00.000 ZDZ, which is the most important quantity that was seized during the last five years.

The three accused ave been referred to the prosecutor at the court of Satif, on charges of commercial activity without trade licence, business of cosmetics that do not respect standards, printing illegal licence.
