Security services stepped up strike actions during Ramadan.

Algiers security services recorded 3201 cases related to minor and medium criminality over the holly month of Ramadan including 218 cases of theft, 345 cases of illegal trade on public places, 162 dealing with premeditated assaults and 896 related to law and order.

•  In a press release the same sources revealed that some 174 offences related to rules of the road have been registered, 139 dealt with taxi drivers, 3880 cases of disqualification from driving, 387 cars were impounded and 3650 other cases related to radar snapshots.
•   On a different note, the same services intervened in 228 cases of town planning including 190 illegal constructions and the erection of 32 slums.
