Sellal:“US Secretary of State John Kerry in Algeria early November”

The American Secretary of State, John Kerry, will pay a visit to Algeria in early November, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal announced Wednesday in the city of Sidi Bel Abbes in Western Algeria.

Taking the floor during an encounter with representatives of the local civil society, Mr Sellal said that Mr John Kerry would be on a visit to Algeria next week or early Novemberat the latest.

The Prime Minister added that Mr Kerry’s planned visit would focus on an exchange of views on topical regional and international issues of common concern.

He also said that the US official was keen to listen to Algeria’s viewpoint on current international issues.

Mr Abdelmalek Sellal also dwelt during this get – together in Sidi Bel Abbes with civil society members as part of a visit of inspection there, on the country’s socio – economic achievements since the year 1999 describing the balance – sheet on the matter as very positive.

The balance – sheet pertaining to these very positive achievements in all sectors of activity will be put forth and expounded in 2014, the year of the next presidential election, Mr Sellal underscored.

The Prime Minister also affirmed that all the objectives set as part of President Bouteflika’s development program had been globally fulfilled.
