Several Algerian fans killed and others injured by hysteric groups at Cairo stadium
Dozens of Algerian families flocked yesterday at dawn to Echourok headquarters to seek help for the “liberation†of some 400 of their sons blocked inside Cairo stadium because of the siege imposed on them until the break of the day.

“Echourok” has immediately after get in touch with the Algerian ambassador to Cairo Abdelkader Hadjar to inform him about the situation who, in his turn, moved to Cairo stadium. He contacted the Egyptian interior ministry that ordered a General and a number of officers to move to the stadium in order to protect the Algerian fans and get them loos.

Overzealous Egyptian fans have savagely attacked the Algerians immediately after the end of the match causing several injuries among them. If not the escort of the Egyptian security forces to their dwelling lace, the outcome could have been more tragic.

The ambassador has declared that several Algerians were injured and many were transferred to the nearest hospitals according to a travel agency manager who organized the trip for them. At a time where sources confirmed the existence of several dead among the Algerian fans, our ambassador denied the news adding that he has summoned the Egyptian security authorities to ensure safety for Algerians in all the corners of the Egyptian capital.

According to Echourok’s correspondents in Cairo, scores of Algerian fans were lest on their own by the security forces that didn’t intervene to protect them from the hysteric groups that started their assaults on the Algerians inside the stadium and continued outside.
