Signing Of Agreements And Memoranda Of Understanding Between Algeria And Belarus

Algeria and Belarus signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding covering various areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries. The signing ceremonies took place on Wednesday, under the supervision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his Belarusian counterpart, Mr. Alexander Lukashenka, following the talks that brought them together on the occasion of his official visit to Algeria.
In this context, a military and technical cooperation agreement was signed between the governments of the two countries, signed by  Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, and the Belarusian Minister of State for Military Industry, Dmitry Pantus.

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, along with the Belarusian Minister of Trade, Regulation and Anti-Monopoly, Mr. Artur Karpovich, also signed a roadmap for promoting trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries (2026-2027).

The signing also included a memorandum of understanding between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries, signed by the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Mr. Lotfi Boujemâa, and the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov.

An cooperation agreement between the two governments in the fields of scientific research, technological development and innovation was also signed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, and the Belarusian Minister of Education, Mr. Andrei Ivanets, who also signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of higher education.

On the same occasion, a memorandum of understanding in the field of industrial cooperation was signed by the Minister of Industry, Mr. Yahia Bachir, and his Belarusian counterpart, Mr. Andrei Kuznetsov, while Mr. Yahia Bachir, on the other hand, signed an agreement in the field of animal health with the Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mr. Yuri Gurlov.

The governments of the two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding in the agricultural field between the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries and the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Food, signed by the Minister of Industry, Mr. Yahia Bachir, and the Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mr. Yuri Gurlov.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises and the Belarusian Ministry of Economy on cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation, signed by the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, and the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov.

The cooperation agreements also included a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Algerian Accreditation Body (ALGERAC) and the Belarusian State Accreditation Center, signed by the Minister of Industry, Mr. Yahia Bachir, and the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov.
