Smuggled Algerian fuel goes to Morocco

Meanwhile, the quantity of seized fuel over the year 2007 smuggled across the Algerian borders towards the Moroccan soil was estimated at some 821779 liters . This number represents 85.28% of the overall smuggled fuel beyond the Algerian borders estimated at 963562 liters .

The western city of “Tlemcen” ( 350 km of Algiers ) takes the lead in this contraband.

By contrast, the eastern borders of the country are much more impervious to this phenomenon, since the overall quantity seized doesn’t exceed 104805 liters while the southern borders recorded 39678 liters over the year 2007.
