The photos were posted on the Police’s website. They included a Spanish suspect’s name. The website did not say whether the suspects had been sentenced on terror-related charges or they had been on the run.
The Algerian names mentioned in the list are: Ahmed Belaataf, 42, Abdellah Houari, 33, Malik Chebli, 37, Farid Bouazza, 47, Mohamed Kessabi, 48 and Toufik Miza, 48.
Security coordination and information exchange to track illegal immigration networks
The Spanish Police General Director’s visit to Algeria came up with an agreement between the two countries on new procedures to launch special troops to track illegal immigration networks. An investigation will be carried out to find out the way used by illegal immigrants to reach Spain.
According to a release posted on the Spanish police’s website, the two countries agreed on exchanging information and enhancing cooperation to dismantle illegal immigration networks.
Algeria’s influence in the region and its position as the largest African country need cooperation and security information exchange between the Spanish and Algerian police, says the release.
