Spanish Coast Guard rescued 30 Algerian illegal immigrants

Spanish Coast Guard were forced on Monday to use a helicopter to save the lives of 30 Algerian illegal migrants, aged between 16 and 28, who had set sail last Sunday, on board of two boats from the beach of “Guelta” in Tenes, Chelf (western Algeria), before the motor of the boats stopped at the Spanish coasts, where the remained struggling with death for 72 hours until the intervention of the Coast Guards.

Spanish Coast Guard rescued 30 Algerian illegal immigrants who struggled death for 72 hours, as they were forced to use a helicopter for rapid intervention, in order to save their lives, after a 72 hours of secret sailing which was fraught with risks from the “Guelta” beach in the city of Tenes on board of two traditional boats which stopped near the Spanish coast.

The survivors, who landed at Mostaghanem port said that they have decided to organize two groups, counting 15 illegal immigrant in each group, and after they were rescued ny the Spanish coast Guards, they were handed over to their Algerian counterparts, as two teenagers under 16 were among the survivors.
