Strict security measures to cover the upcoming elections: Yazid Zerhouni

Thursday’s twin bombings which killed seven people, including gendarmes reflect desperation of the terrorist groups. They did not target the upcoming elections. They reflect remnants of terrorist groups and security forces will remain ready to combat them. I confirm again that doors for reconciliation are always open, State Minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni say.  

• “Strict security measures will surround the electoral campaign from the beginning to the end of the ninth April. Teams for sensitizations of the elections reach three million families, and about one million families will receive them in the upcoming days”, Zerhouni said about the government’s preparation for April elections.

• When journalists asked him about the recent acts of violence in the Algerian stadiums he said, “Violence in our stadiums has nothing to do with the upcoming elections”.
