Sudanese Football Federation President: I will not make false testimony about Algeria-Egypt match

The observer of the World Cup qualifying match between Algeria and Egypt said he made his report with a clear conscience and he could not make a false testimony.

  •
  • Doctor Kamel Chadad told Echorouk he had already made more than 50 positive reports about Egypt except one about a match against Mauritania in the African Cup 2008. “I have been working in this field for more than 40 years and I respect the law. I like both Egypt and Algeria.”
  •
  • Earlier in November 2009 ahead of the decisive match held in Sudan, Egyptian fans attacked a bus carrying Algeria’s national players in Cairo, wounding a number of them.
  •
  • Doctor Chadad said he has observed various football events including the Olympic Games and he has never experienced such a situation before. He asked to discuss the Egyptian Football Federation’s allegations in what they call Sudan’s events.
  •
  • The president of the Sudanese Federation said five reports showed the events was well organised and any riots took place.
  •
  • “I do not think that the FIFA will announce its decision about what happened in Cairo. It will be reported.”
  •
  • Doctor Chadad’s remarks come in response to the member of the Egyptian Football Federation’s board of directors Mahmoud Echami as he told media Chadad denied any Algerian attacks on Egyptian fans.
  •
  • Echami said Chadad and the president of the Algerian Football Federation Mohamed Raouraoua had a deal about that.
