Suicide bomber targets army patrol in Algeria

A terrorist blew himself up Wednesday on a truck belonging to the army in Lakhdaria town (120 km east of Algiers) wounding 13 people.

• According to witnesses, the suicide bomber who was on a motorcycle carried out the attack at 8 a.m. Ambulances came immediately after the blast.
• Algerian authorities have tightened the noise on terrorist groups including the so-called Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb which has claimed a series of suicide bombings.
