Syrian ambassador to Algeria denies news over exile in France
The Syrian ambassador to Algiers Nemir Wahib Al- Ghanem has denied on Sunday the allegations relayed by some opponents over a purported request to seek asylum in France.
In a declaration to Echourouk, the ambassador has asserted that the allegations were groundless and that his family is still living in Syria. “ I’m in my office and all what has been reported in some media is pure allegations… It’s a pity that these medias are misleading the public opinion, my family members are in Latakia and my wife is in France in her quality as a diplomat”, he added.
The Syrian ambassador has expressed his disgust for the opponents, labelling their practices as- immoral- when dealing with their Syrian crisis. “ Some opposition figures represent only themselves, but we are still open to negotiation. Their sole purpose is to serve their own interests not Syria’s ones.. As I’m concerned , before being an ambassador I was I parliamentarian and ‘m not affiliated to any party”. He said.
