Tebboune urges speed-up of new housing construction in Algerian South
Algerian housing and town planning minister, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has called for acceleration in the pace of new housing construction in the southern provinces of the country.
Taking the floor on Thursday during a meeting with housing and town planning directors from the southern part of Algeria in Algiers, Mr Tebboune urged them to speed up the pace of construction of new housing units by removing all the constraints and bureaucratic hurdles in order to help achieve this endeavour.
The minister enjoined these senior executives to map ourt a clear-cut action plan including a precise working schedule with the aim of achieving the housing construction objectives within a the fixed deadlines stressing that no delay in the building works would be tolerated.
Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune also pointed out that all the application files submitted by the citizens to the relevant housing agencies for the acquisition of rural housing units in the southern provinces of the country should be examined and sealed before October 15th 2013 in order to catch up with lost time, as he put it.
