Terrorism: 11 merchants belonging to a terrorist back up cell arrested by security services east of Algiers
Counter terrorism security services arrest eleven members belonging to a terrorist back up cell in Bouira, east of Algiers.

- Members of the terrorist back up cell, working for GSPC or AQIM, are merchants whose primary mission is money laundering and incorporation of business investment for terrorist groups.
- Security services also seized two cars type “Toyota” for transporting passengers, money and ammunition for terrorist groups.
- Security services said that the majority of the terrorist cack up cell’s members have no precedent judicial files related to terrorism and they are merchants in different trades, eight of them reside in Ben Haroune, one in Ain Bessam and another in Bouira, east of Algiers.
- Same services added that they were recruited in order to avoid raising suspicions of security men who launched a war on the sleeping cells, especially in the main terrorist strongholds.
- Observers to the security matter in Algeria said leaders of the terrorist group “GSPC” also known as “AQIM” are looking for new cells to establish investment projects in order to provide money, as security services seized two cars registered on behalf of the so called “S.Rabeh” a merchant, who bought it from the money of ransoms given to terrorists following kidnappings.
- Sources, closer to investigation, told Echorouk the dismantling of this terrorist back up cell and arrest of a large number of members suspected in having contacts with terrorist groups, came against the backdrop of statements by the cell’s head “S.Rabeh” 35, arrested last Sunday on charges of supporting terrorism.
- Echorouk sources refused to provide more details about this case to prevent disturbing investigation, but information available to Echorouk indicate that the role of this cell was providing funds and transportation between the regions of El Jridat in Khemis Metnan in Ain Bessam and “Hejita” in Jebaihia, where 25 terrorists hide.
- Following the arrest of the eleven members, belonging to the largest terrorist back up cell, specialized in money laundering and establishing investment projects, a terrorist group belonging to “Al Ghoraba” battalion (AQIM) revenge after 48 hours, through planting a roadside bomb in the road to Ben Haroune, then was detonated injuring three municipal guards.
