Terrorism: Elderly man kidnapped by terrorists tells details of the incident

Terrorists in Jijel, eastern Algeria, released after a three days kidnap, the Sheikh El Hadj Ammar Neili, on Thursday evening, amid joy of his family members.

Echorouk visited him on Friday, and noticed that he was in the case of a moral tense, after he finished investigations with the services of the national gendarmerie, as he performed Friday prayers in Sidi Abdelaziz Mosque, then he spoke about conditions that Echorouk will publish in details later.

“Terrorists took him to the mountains of Seddat, about 45 km from the city of Jijel. During the three days in the cashes where I was detained, and where they stored a large number of Kalashnikovs, I ate what is called locally “Bessissa” and tuna only, and despite I was suffering from many chronic diseases, I saw at least 70 terrorists, and they took 15 million centimes and my mobile phone”, he added.

“When they knew that I am rich they called my family and ask for a billion ransom for my release. I was released only when I was presented to the leader of the terrorist group. He insulted them when he noticed that I was 82, and that I looked ill, then he asked them to release me telling them “we do not need him”. I was released in the forests of Seddat, where I found myself alone, where I found a combing operation by the armed forces, and after half an hour, I met with soldiers who took me on their shoulders along 30 kilometers until I reached home”.

Municipality of Sidi Abdelaziz in Jijel, eastern Algeria, was waiting for his release since an armed terrorist group kidnapped Hadj Ammar Neili, in a unique incident, as hundreds of citizens broke into the terrorists’ strongholds on foot Tuesday.
