Terrorism, Trafficking: Maj.Gen Boustila orders Gendarmerie to secure borders
Commander of the National Gendarmerie General Ahmed Boustila, stressed during his inspection tour toTamanrasset (southern Algeria), the need to continue the intensified efforts to tackle organized crime, notably drug trafficking and trade, and preserving the security of citizens and their properties, and the security of public and private institutions in the south.
Major General Ahmed Boustila, commander of the National Gendarmerie supervised the appointment of the Col. Belourici Moubarak as the new chief of the leadership of the 6th region of the National Gendarmerie in Tamanrasset, where military and civilian officials attended the ceremony of the the appointment of the new regional leader on the sidelines of the program of the field visit of the commander of the National Gendarmerie during the first day of the Southern wilayas, starting from the Tamanrasset.
Following the appointment of the regional Commander, Major General Boustila previewed and stood at the level of performance and readiness of the gendarmerie units that are deployed in the region, across the borders, including units of border guards and units of intervention, as well as all the regional units. He also briefed on the arrangements and security measures that are taken on the ground in the area of border protection, and maintaining the security of the citizens in the border and residential areas, and regions across the southern road network.
General Ahmed Boustila, held a meeting that gathered the various officials of gendarmerie personnel in the region, and gave strict instructions on maintaining the border security and the security of citizens and their properties, as well as the security of public and private institutions that located in the south.
These procedures are working out permanently by massive deployment to the field and through continuous monitoring of the territory and the movement of persons and properties, with continuing to tighten the noose to thwart the intentions of criminal cells and dismantling them, especially the cells of organized crime.
