Terrorist hideout discovered in Algeria
Algerian military troops discovered a terrorist hideout last week in eastern Boumerdes province (50 km east of Algeria), security sources said.

The soldiers were conducting a military operation in a coastal wood where they found large quantities of food, blankets and military uniforms.

The hideout was used as main base for most terror acts carried out in the northern town of Zemmouri, province of Boumerdes.

In August 2008, eight people were killed and 17 wounded in a suicide attack that targeted a navy barracks in Zemmouri.

The province of Boumerdes has experienced a series of terrorist acts. The last one was a blast carried out in September an hit a military barracks killing 3 soldiers and wounding 6.
