Terrorist hideout discovered in Algeria

Algerian military troops discovered a terrorist hideout last week in eastern Boumerdes province (50 km east of Algeria), security sources said.

•  The soldiers were  conducting a military operation in a coastal wood where they found large quantities of food, blankets and military uniforms.
• The hideout was used as main base for most terror acts carried out in the northern town of Zemmouri, province of  Boumerdes.
• In August 2008, eight people were killed and 17 wounded in a suicide attack that targeted a navy barracks in Zemmouri.
• The province of Boumerdes has experienced a series of terrorist acts. The last one was a blast carried out in September an hit a military barracks killing 3 soldiers and wounding 6.
