Terrorist’s revelations: death squads steal and plunder to finance their crimes

In recent revelations made by an arrested terrorist in the province of Jijel (eastern Algeria) this one declared that the terrorist group known as “Unification” squad is using the same stratagem as the one followed by other groups in the region, which consists in plundering and forcing the inhabitants to give them money in addition to attacking post offices.

• The terrorist also revealed that internal dissentions and conflicts appear to surface within the organization especially when dealing with suicide attacks as the leaders’ relatives are receiving a “special” treatment and are excluded from these operations.
• He added that the terrorist organization proceeded to large scale recruitment operation among active terrorists’ relatives or dead ones during the year 2007.
• Houzem Mourad ( 24) joined the terrorist organization in December 2007 and his brother was eliminated in  ambush while his father was arrested and his other brother surrendered to the authorities before joining the terrorists again.
