Terrorists behind Tiguentourine attack are in Mali

A number of terrorists working for “Signatories with Blood” battalion which carried out an attack on a gas field in Tiguentourine (south of Algeria) early last year are established in northern Mali, security reports find.

Those terrorists planned and supervised the attack. Of them, their leader Mokhtar Belmokhtar, another Algerian called Ahmed Tlemci, Mauritanian Hamada Ould Mohamed Khairi alias Kamkam, Malian Soltan Abu Badi who is involved in kidnaping Westerners, spokesman for Tawhid and Jihad movemen Walid Sahraoui and a number of Libyans specialized in bombs.

This comes as David M. Rodriguez, the commander of Africom announced that Belmokhtar who was behind the Tiguentourine attack still has the capability to conduct another big attack.

Algerian justice minister Tayeb Belaiz said the Tiguentourine attack case is under investigation by a specialized judge in accordance to penal procedures.

The attack killed 32 terrorists of 7 nationalities and 23 hostages.
