Terrorists kill 5 soldiers, wound 14 in eastern Algeria

Five soldiers, two self-defence agents were killed and 14 soldiers were wounded Wednesday in a false check point set up by an armed group on a mountainous road in Batna province (east of Algiers) killing 5 soldiers and two self-defence agents.

• The 40 terrorists who were disguised as soldiers had stopped many cars and distributed circulars and CD-ROMs on recent attacks in Algeria.
• Their “leader” delivered a sermon before stealing 20,000 million to 70,000 Algerian dinars and mobile phones.
• A visit was paid by military commanders and Batna’s authorities to the place where the terrorist plot took place followed by a large-scale military operation.
