Terrorist group ‘Al Faruk’ had asked the suspect to keep watch on Reda Malek and businessman Yessaad Rabrab to hold them hostage and demand a ransom, according to the same source.

The suspect has a sister working in the pharmaceutical sector. Terrorist groups were planning to ask her to give them medicines to treat their wounded members.

He told investigators he refused to do what he was asked to do but he found himself involved with terrorist groups. At present, he is in temporarily prison.

Suspects say they asked help from an engineer at BRC company to give them details about transport. Terrorists gave him a camera to shoot the bus. Two bombs were put inside Bouchaoui forest under the trees. Yet, cleaners were them. The group withdrew the bombs and put them once again on the day after. They were remotely blown up via mobile phones in December 2006 killing three Algerians who were inside the bus with foreigners.

The same group was behind the Constitutional Council and the UN refugee agency bombings. They bought the bomb cars from a market in the province of Boumerdes (50 km east of Algiers).

Six people were arrested and put in temporary prison. Investigations show that there is a secret activity among some members of the so-called the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) working in Boumerdes. They also showed that terrorist groups rely on unknown and non prosecuted people.

Seven suspects are still on the run. Of them, there is Abdelmalek Droudkel, the GSPC’s leader. They are accused of raising terror, killings, possessing weapons and money laundering.
