Terrorists ugly massacre: 44 dead people and 38 injured in Algeria
Some victims' bodies are not yet identified

At least 44 people died Tuesday morning, after a suicide attack, which is the most violent attack in terms of revenues, targeting youngsters who were waiting for the results to become gendarmerie officers, where they were lined outside the National gendarmerie high-school in Isser (Boumerdes province east of Algeria), killing more than 44 people, including one gendarme, noting that the most of these victims were male and female youngsters, mostly under 23 years old, who came from the internal provinces of Algeria.

  • The criminal explosion also killed some of their parents who accompanied them, as well as some passers, including a 60 years old woman, whose identity is not yet known.
  • More than 38 people were injured, mostly residents of neighbouring houses, pedestrians and drivers, who were in a café, 200 meters from the school, including 6 gendarmes and one officer.
  • The injured had been trasfered to Bordj Mnayel, Boumerdes and Tizi Ouzou provinces (east of Algiers) and the military hospital in Ain Naadja (Algiers) as well, while the victims’ bodies have been transferred to the morgue, to let their parents identify them, especially since some of them are charred.

  • Day:Tuesday.
  • Number young male and female: More than 100, who came from various provinces such as Chlef, Ghelizane, Oran, Sidi Bel Abbas, Tlemsen ( west of Algeria), and Algiers, Medea and Msila ( middle Algeria), Jijel and Batna ( East of Algeria). They were waiting since 7:00 AM in front of the Algerian Gendarmerie High-School in Yesser (Boumerdes), after they received summons to pass the psycho-technical exam, to determine their ability to resist, which is a crucial stage for admission to this school for three years, to be graduated later on as lieutenants.
  • Some of them were accompanied by their parents, especially girls who came from far away states and who moved abroad buses or private cars on Monday night, some of them were sitting in neighbouring cafés, 300 meters, waiting for the gates opening at 8:00 AM to pass their exam.
  • Meanwhile, a bus coming from Oran province (West of Algeria) towards Tizi Ouzou (East of Algiers) stopped near the school carrying about 30 passengers, mostly families, then a white car type “Toyota Isuzu” came from the opposite direction towards thr front door crossing the bus and crowds, a gendarme asked the driver to return back, but he continued driving to penetrate inside the school, where the car exploded.
