The Algerian executed in Iraq: I wasn’t sentenced for the killing of innocents”
The Algerian prisoner Abdellah Belhadi who was sentenced to death and executed by the Iraqi authorities has written his last will in ten sentences to his parents requesting forgiveness from their pat.
- He started his letter saying” My greetings to my father and mother and please forgive me”. He went on writing that he has never killed innocents but judged for fighting the colonials” Bear in mind that that I have never been sued for the killing of innocent people but for fighting against the colonials”.
- Abdellah Belhadi has requested to be buried near his grand father’s grave “ I would be grateful to you if you could burry me near my grand father”, before addressing all his family members saying” To my brothers and sisters as well as to their children, I have never kept you out of my mind but these are the prison’s conditions”.
- He went on saying” May God brings us together in heaven, he’s the almighty”. Belhadi requested from his brothers: Saddam, Ali and Mohammed to take care of their parents” To you Saddam, Mohammed and Ali, please take care of my father and keep united… May God guide your paths”.
- The late ended his letter by requesting his family to pray for his soul” Please ask God to have mercy on me”.
- To recall, Belhadi was buried the day before yesterday, while 11 other Algerian nationals were sentenced by the Iraqi authorities to 11 and 20 years imprisonment.
