The Algerians consumed 40,000 tons of red meat since the beginning of Ramadan
With the end of the first ten days of Ramadan, some consumer prices decline gradually and with varying degrees, however, the decline of the prices is still not accessible to all Algerians, including all kinds of red and white meat, as the prices of one kilo of lamb meat reaches 900 dianrs and one kilo of chicken reaches between 320 and 350 dinars.

The decline in the prices of some goods compared to the first days of Ramadan, was a result of what the spokesman of the National Union of Merchants and Craftsmen, Taher Boulenouar, described as the decline of demand and the large quantities of frozen meat which were brought to the market estimated by more than 40.000 tons since the beginning of Ramadan and which were well received by citizens because of their low prices estimated between 500 and 550 dianrs per kilo.

On the other hand markets of fruit and vegetables noticed a significant decline in the first ten days of Ramadan, as the price of lots decline from 80 dianrs to 50 dianrs, and tomatoes from 90 dianrs to 60 and 50 dianrs, and turnips and carrots have maintained their high orices estimated at 80 dianrs, while the onion still have the price of 40 and 50 dianrs.
