The “Greens” pledge to triumph over Mali as a token of reconciliation with their fans

The players of the Algerian national football squad are getting over their shock and bitterness in the aftermath of their flabbergasting 3-nil defeat on Monday in Luanda versus a surprising team of Malawi in their first game of the 27th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations contest now being hosted by Angola.

  • The players of the Algeria line-up were totally distraught at this unexpected debacle against the team of Malawi as some of them shed warm tears and were inconsolable in the changing rooms after the end of this crucial fixture.
  •
  • In the evening, a meeting brought together the technical staff headed by national Rabah Saâdane and all the players of the national squad in order to clear the air and to map out a brand new and efficient strategy ahead of the two other remaining matches first versus Mali and then Angola.
  •
  • At the end of this explanatory and morale-boosting encounter, all the players vowed to bounce back in the next game of the tournament by snatching a clear-cut victory over Mali in order to make it up again with their 35 million Algerian fans.
  •
  • They expressed their utter resolve to make their fans forget the Malawi mishap by wrenching a victory with flying colours over Mali despite the difficulty of the task ahead.
  •
  • The “Desert Foxes” want eagerly to take up again with their recent string of successes as they brilliantly did during the 2010 World cup qualifiers notably versus Egypt, Zambia and Rwanda to the delight of their staunch and faithful supporters.
  •
  • They perfectly know that a win over the tough Malian squad in Luanda next Thursday is a prerequisite if they want to avert being shut out outright from this African competition regardless of the result of their third scheduled match against hosts Angola.
  •
  • Anyway, Let’s hope for the best!
