The Ministry of Defence starts a cooperation protocol with the German and UAE companies

The site of the former « Fatia » company in Tiaret, west of Algeria, which has become under the tutelage of the Ministry of National Defence, has been initialized and it includes a covered space and another one for storage as well as a railway line and houses for staff, sources related to the file say.  

  • The site has a strategic location because it is close to the port of Mostaghanem, west of Algeria.
  • The same sources said that the services of both the Ministry of Finance and Industry, and in the framework of the new investment procedures, transferred the ports of Djendjen in Jijel, east of Algeria, and El Ghazaouat, in Tlemcen and Mostaghenm, west of Algeria, to ports for receiving containers of the manufactured vehicles, in the sense that the port of Mostaghanem, will be closest to the area of industrial activity in Tiaret, west of Algeria, allowing the development of car industry, the activity which will be launched by military units of the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with German and UAE companies that have the necessary expertise, particularly Man and Dotz, known for producing good models of engines and car bodies for processing of Mercedes vehicles.
  • The cooperation agreement, first of the kind in Algeria, was signed last week and it will provide jobs and independence for the services of the Ministry of Defence as well as the various government departments which consume annually hundreds of vehicles when carrying out their functions.
  • Algeria have signed a cooperation protocol in the industrial, trade and technology sectors with a group of German economists and traders and traders belonging to a UAE oil exploring group under the “strengthening of cooperation and promotion of the military industry.
  • This cooperation aims to create three economic institutions to embody the industrial projects at the level of the mechanical zones in Ain Smara and Oued Elhamamine in Constantine, east of Algeria, and Tiaret, west of Algeria.
  • Sources told Echorouk that the Ministry of Defence signed on the last 28 July on a deal in the field of industrial, trade and technological cooperation with the UAE oil explorer company of investment and German Economists belonging to the companies Man Ferrostaal, Damlar, Dotz, and Rein Mittal.
  • Previously, the Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika, ordered the Ministry of Defence to join both Eni and Fatia under its patronage.
