The Moroccan coordinator of the humanitarian convoy denies allegations reported on the Moroccan media
The chairman of the Moroccan “ National Steering Committee for the Support of Iraq and Palestine†Khaled Essoufiani has indicated in a declaration to Echourok that the Algerian Interior Ministry has granted him a formal permission through the Algerian embassy in Rabat, to allow the passage of the “ lifeline†humanitarian convoy bound for Gaza through the land borders between Morocco and Algeria.

He has vehemently denied the Allegations that he has demanded a written permission from the Algerian authorities to pass through the borders, noting that the some Moroccan media have deliberately reported unfounded declarations.

By contrast, he added, the Algerian authorities were extremely cooperative and didn’t hesitate to assist him indicated that they had given a verbal agreement at first through the embassy in Rabat followed by an official correspondence.

The Algerian authorities have granted the permission for the humanitarian convoy to pass through its borders according to the date fixed by the Moroccan coordinator slated for September 28, adding that he has declared in a press conference that he wished this operation would pave the way for the opening of the borders between the two countries, but the Moroccan media have distorted his declarations.

On the other hand, the main coordinator of the the Maghreban committees, the Algerian Abderrazak Mekri has indicated that the former British MP George Galloway has officially written to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in the event of its denial to enter the Egyptian territory arguing that his name is among the black list of the unwanted personalities. His legal move will likely play in his favour and force the Egyptian authorities to reconsider their decision, it said.

M Mekri has declared that the Algerian Popular Committee will move to the western part of Algeria on September 28 in a bid to welcome the Moroccan humanitarian convoy.
