The Union of the Workers of Education calls on Ouyahia to cancel the previous instruction
The National Union of the Workers in Education and Training sector call on the PM Ahmed Ouyahia, to abolish the instruction which states the non application of the system of compensation retroactively before November 8 in order to avoid a national strike scheduled in the sector.

The union also called on Ouyahia to issue a new instruction provides for the adoption of compensations beginning of January 1, 2008, so that this system insure a significant increase in the salaries, not less 55% of the principle wage for the staff in education.

In this context, Sadek Dziri, head of the National Union of Workers of education and Training, said that the union appreciates that Ouyahia abolished the instruction on waiver of the functional houses, and tells Echorouk that the National Council of the union held on October 25, gave light to the national bureau for coordination with the trade unions in order to launch a large protest movement, which unable the workers of the education system to ensure decent living.

“The union will launch a protest for one week beginning of next November 8 and call on all the workers of the education sector to stand together and defend their common interests, so we can live a decent live like the rest of the world’s workers”.
