Thousands of jobless hired in manufacturing engines and cars

Ministry of National Defense in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and SMEs and Investment Promotion, hired thousands of jobless in several cities, beginning from next June, in manufacturing engines, cars and industrial vehicles, in the context of what is known as the program of economic recovery and efforts to develop the military industry and reduce imports.

The decision of the Ministry of National Defense on creating jobs for the jobless, came especially after the category of youth and graduates from universities and institutes of mechanical technology, came after the Directorate of Military Industries of the Ministry of Defense signed a contract to work with the German technology partner “Daimler”, led by Peter Alexander Trettin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Daimler Africa,Europe and Asia.

The agreement signed between the two parties concerning the economic recovery program, is a complementary step to contracts to exploit the mark, technical cooperation and training related to projects of completing light vehicles for all fields at the company of developing the automotive industry in Tiaret, western Algeria, and projects of completing industrial vehicles in Rouiba, as well as engines in Constantine, eastern Algeria, that would develop the auto industry and national needs, contributing in the reduction of imports and opening prospects for development and creating jobs directly and indirectly.

Algerian-German Partnership project, is expected to realize an incorporation rate of 30%, during the five years, after the actual beginning of the institutions that are concerned with production, by upgrading the handling of national companies and qualifying Algerian labor in mechanical industries, through training sessions and specialized rehabilitation, which would help to lift the productivity.

Project of the Ministry of Defense concerns three cities, which are Algiers, Tiaret and Constantine, that is subject to the formulas of industrial and trade cooperation between the economic operators of both the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Industry and SMEs and Investment Promotion, along with the Emirate investment fund and German technology partner with its brand “Mercedes Benz”, aiming to participate in the modernization and development of the national industry through a diverse product and high quality brand “Daimler”, in addition to creating jobs that are accompanied by a special vocational and continuous training.
