Three Iraqi children arrives to Algeria for treatment

Three Iraqi children with heart deformities arrived to the international airport of Algiers Friday for treatment after representatives of the Algerian Council of Medical Ethics had held talks for many days.

Other 11 children who are hidden by an Israeli association are expected to be taken to Algeria when an Iraqi parliamentary commission finds them.

Sara Ahmed from Baghdad, Ahmed Faek from Karkouk and Kurdish Dyar Bik arrived to Algeria accompanied by their mothers.

The mother of the 2-year-old Sara cried and thanked Algeria for having cared for her daughter who has been suffered from a heart deformity since she was born.

Ahmed’s mother was surprised and smiling. She said « Thank you » for many times.

The president of Algerian Council of Medical Ethics Mohamed Bekat Berkani said the council is working with Iraqi parliamentarians and Jordanian doctor Omar Fadil Al-Kabissi to transport 11 other children after an Israeli association had taken them and their parents to an unknown place.

The children’s medical file will be studied this week. They will undergo necessary medical analysis before carrying out surgeries in Algiers.

For her part, Sara’s mother said she preferred that her daughter is treated in Algeria instead of Israel. She had no intention to take her daughter for treatment in the Zionist entity. « I know Algeria very well through its past and revolution. I hope the other children would be taken to Algeria for treatment like my daughter. »

Ahmed’s mother did not expect such welcome and she called on all Arab countries to do the same thing as Algeria.

She expressed her delight for being there.

Dyar’s mother wished her son was treated in Iraq but it was impossible because of the war. She told journalists that the Iraqi people heard a lot about Algerians who are known for their positive positions towards fair issued in the world.
