Three Moroccan terrorists on their way to Algeria-based Al-Qaeda arrested
Algerian security forces arrested three Moroccans who crossed the western borders on their way to join the so called Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. The source declined to give detail about the case for the investigation is still underway.Investigators are working on the existing relationship between active terrorist cells in Morocco and those led by “Droudkel” in Algeria . Several young Moroccans joined training camps of “Al Qaeda” at the end of 2006 when the Moroccan leader nicknamed “Abu Alberaa” was anointed on top of the constitutional council of this organization.
Based on prior investigations carried out by the Algerian security forces, who foiled similar attempt in a recent past, these three terrorist are most probably from the region of Tanger, Morocco, known as being the stronghold of the terrorist organization” Salafit Group for Call and Combat” before paying allegiance to “Al Qaeda” at the end of 2006.
The three terrorist who lived in the shanty town of “Beni Mekada”, Tanger, appeared on video footage posted on the internet go by the names of, Mohammed Aghbalou, Hamam Bellal and Reda Belhachemi. According to sources, these dangerous terrorists were recruited Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb chief recruiter, Samir Sayoud and dwelt for a while in the western Algerian city, Oran to be moved to Algiers than to the rugged regions of Beni Amrane, near Boumerdes.
Several video tapes posted on terrorists website revealed that a large number of young Moroccans have been recruited by the terrorist organization here in Algeria to serve under its leader, Abdelmalek Droudkel.
To recall, Moroccan security services have recently disbanded several terrorist cells working in close connection with Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb to recruit young Moroccan men to be trained in military camps based in Algeria before leaving either for Afghanistan, Iraq or simply return to Morocco.
