Tizi Ouzou’s suicide bomber’s identity revealed

The identity of the suicide bomber, who targeted the central intelligence HQ of Tizi Ouzou, was yesterday revealed in a communiqué released by the interior ministry. The man is known as Makhloufi Sahari, nicknamed Abu Merierm.

• The communiqué added that the criminal (35) is born in Algiers and was wanted by the security services since June 2007 following the investigations on the two suicide attacks thnat rocked Algiers.
• The criminal, according to the ministry’s sources, was suffering nervous breakdown due to a serious illness that affected the lower parts of his body, and was most likely recruited to get rid of him.
