“Tlemcen, capital of Islamic Culture” launched in two phases, national and international
TLEMCEN (Algeria)- The launch of “Tlemcen, capital of the Islamic culture 2011” event will be through two phases, national and international, timing with El-Mawlid Ennabaoui (February) and Day of knowledge (16 April), Culture Minister Khalida Toumi announced Friday.
The national phase will see representation from all provinces invited to the event which opening will be marked by various activities (conferences and exhibitions), celebrating Mawlid al-Ennabaoui, said the Minister on the occasion of his working visit to Tlemcen.
The kickoff of the second phase which is the international one will be given by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, in the presence of delegations from different countries, she said, noting that in addition of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) member countries, ten other countries, including China, USA, Russia and Spain, have expressed the wish to participate in this event.
