Torrential rain kills 3 and injures 27: Eastern Algeria

Bad weather which rocked Batna province (east of Algeria) Monday killed 3 people and caused many considerable material losses following torrential rains.

•  The rains which exceeded 30mm in few minutes destroyed hundreds of olive and apricot trees as well as seasonal products field were destroyed.
• One of the victims died after being subjected to electric shock.
• Nacira. M. died just after her 12-year-old sister Ahlam died in hospital. Nacira had one leg amputated in the same hospital before she died.
