Tourism in Algeria: Police services secure movement of 25.000 foreign tourists in 2010

Algerian Security services secured movements of over 25.000 foreign tourists who visited Algeria during 2010 in organized collective trips which exceeded 1944 tourist convoys.

Figures by the General Directorate of the National Security show that the various teams of security services secure over 25603 foreign tourists who visited Algeria in 2010.

Reports by the same services indicate that tourism in Algeria noticed a remarkable development during this year, as Algeria received 707 delegations including 10232 tourists from different countries.

Algeria received 239 tourist delegations including over 3090 tourists.

On the other hands figures show that northern regions are more attractive to foreign tourists, contrary to what is rumored about desert tourism, where Illizi, south of Algeria, is considered the only tourist region.
