Traffic accidents kill 34 in one week

34 people perished and 537 were injured in street accidents during one week -15 to 21Novebmer- in Algeria, Civil protection authority recorded. 

•  The largest number of traffic accidents was recorded in Msila locality, where 8 people perished and 13 were injured in 9 accidents. 
•  Previously the Algerian General Direction of Emergency Services, DGPC, reported that 603 Algerians were killed and another 8.650 Algerians were injured in traffic accidents since the beginning of 2008, adding that 6 people die everyday.
• Street accidents are on the rise, as 41 people were killed  and 538 injured in 424 traffic accidents in various parts of the country.
•  In Algeria there is a clear need for a wide-ranging control program under a nationally organized body. Accident prevention also calls for social awareness; the fight against this tragedy. This can only be done if safety conditions are gathered and laws are respected.
