Traffic accidents kill 35 in a week

At least 35 people perished and 775 were injured in street accidents during one week 24 to 30 December in Algeria, civil protection authority says.  

• Traffic accidents rose by +7,  and the death toll  by +16 as well as injuries by  +65 compqred to the same period of last year.
• The largest number of street accidents was recorded in the province of Medea, south of Algiers, with 13, then Algiers 21, both Bordj Bouariridj and Mostaghanem 20.
• The report said causes behind these street accidents are lost of control over cars for 108 cases, speed 90 and codes violations 41.
• The Emergency Services, DGPC, reported that 603 Algerians killed and and8.650  injured in traffic accidents since the beginning of 2008, adding that 6 people die everyday.
