Tripartite: No wage increase and the return of consumer loans
Sources close to the leadership of the Central Syndicate said that the meeting of the tripartite is expected to take place in the end of September, and will neither address to the file of wages nor to new increases in their minimum, or improve the purchasing power of the citizen through the revision of Article 87 of the Labor Code, but it will focus on issues and economic recovery and reviving the national economy through re-launching the loan of consumer that is oriented for the national product, which will reduce the import and approve investment stimulus measures and revive the domestic industry.
Same sources told Echorouk that the meeting of the tripartite, which will be attended by a number of representatives of the government who were recently appointed, and the representatives of the General Union of Algerian Workers, employers and representatives of the Business Forum, will be purely economic, and dictated by economic conditions that have evolved for the worse, as Algeria recorded the most difficult of its stages through the import of products worth $ 60 billion this year. Among the actions that will be discussed at the meeting, the file of reducing bureaucracy and reducing the required documents in the files of investment.
In the same context, Nait Abdelazize Mohand Said, head of the National Confederation of Employers, told Echorouk that the meeting of the tripartite is programmed for the last week of September, as it will be special and exceptional compared to the previous 15 tripartite, “Because the priority will be the economic file and reconsideration of industry and investment files”.
NCE filed a proposal to revise the law of the conduct of the National Agency for Developing Investment ANDI, given that the industry noticed a collapse for years despite attempts to return it to the track, as it was agreed with the social partners and economists on the need to revive the industry by creating jobs and reducing the level of import through opening the door to investment and loans for consumer that are oriented to the local product. A meeting is expected to take place next week to put the last reforms on the final recommendations, before forwarding it on the tripartite table. There is a consensus on the need to promote the industry and give it the priority in the meeting.
