Triumphant JS Kabylie trigger “Algerian fiesta” in Cairo after qualification for African champions' league semi-final
Shortly after the referee's final whistle of Sunday night's explosive match in Cairo stadium between Egypt's Al Ahly and JS Kabylie which wound up in a one-all draw synonymous with a highly-meritorious qualification of the Algerian squad for the semi-final of the African champions' league competition, joy and happiness gripped all the players, the technical staff and all the members of the Algerian delegation present in the over-crowded stadium of the Egyptian capital.

Despite the backing of over 80 thousand Egyptian fans, the squad of Al Ahly failed in their pre-set mission to carry the day versus the Algerian team of JS Kabylie whose players were quite up to the mark by displaying talent, abnegation and resilience throughout this hot fixture which was held amid exceptional and stringent security measures aimed at warding off any hapless incident.

An immense explosion of utter joy and merriment gripped all the Algerian delegation in the stadium’s locker rooms where all and sundry chanted nationalist songs like “Kassamen” and “Min Djibalina” and shouted on end and in unison the renowned slogan : “One, Two, Three, Viva l’Algérie” to celebrate this historic qualification for the semi-final of this prestigious African football contest.

Everybody was overjoyed and JS Kabylie top manager Cherif Mohand Hanachi even wept with joy saying that this paramount victory in Cairo was to be dedicated to the entire valorous Algerian people.

The joy reached its climax when Mohand Cherif Hannachi received shortly afterwards a phone-call from the President of the Republic Mr Abdellaziz Bouteflika himself who warmly praised the JS Kabylie players and all the technical staff as well as the club’s managers for this resounding and commendable performance achieved in Cairo.
