Tunisian-Algerian cooperation is needed to face common risks on borders
Algeria’s interior minister Nourredine Badaoui Wednesday stressed the necessity of bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Tunisia to face threats on security and stability.
Badaoui said there are many common security challenges on borders such as terrorism, drug and arms trafficking. “Algeria and Tunisia should be vigilant and work in coordination.”
Algeria’s Tunisia Hadi Madjdoub said authorities in the two countries work on reinforcing cooperation links in different fields.
“Borders need development support to exclude marginalization. There is a need for cooperation to fight organized crimes. For example, Algeria makes efforts to face security threats. Well-controlled coordination is needed to ensure the safety of common borders,” he added.
