Tunisians satisfied with the security reinforcements in the Algerian borders
Algerian borders with Tunisia across the territory of Tebessa, eastern Algeria, noticed strict security precautions, with evident softness in the movement of persons across the border centers, especially from the Algerian side, under news about unprecedented security reinforcements, whether by elements of the army, or units of the Eighth and Fourteenth border guards units, through advanced centers, in the municipalities of Oum Ali, Haouijbat, Bekaria and Alkwif, which are places with easy geographical nature that could notice suspicious movements of armed groups.
These enhancements and periodical checkpoints, in addition to the activity of regional teams of the National Gendarmerie in 10 border municipalities, play a role in sizing criminals of smuggling and sometimes defeating them finally in the borders along a distance of over 300 kilometers, because the smugglers were afraid of arrest or being subjected to blows from the elements stationed on the entire border, as confirmed by the smugglers themselves, considering that security enhancements activity has paralyzed their activity which reaches extinction if the situation remains unchanged, asserting that any suspicious movement in the borders would cost death, under strict instructions to the security elements about not to allow any movement across the entire borders, except for the border centers that run in regular movement for both Algerians and Tunisians.
Echorouk met in Tebessa with some Tunisians from the Wilayas of Kasserine and Gafsa which are located near the Mountain of Chaabani, extending along a distance of approximately 200 kilometers, from the borders of Souk Ahras to Tebessa. They confirmed that the Tunisian armed groups which fled to these borders will be eliminated, especially after security reinforcements by the Algerian security services, and determination of the Tunisian army to hunt down terrorists, since the entry of the Tunisian army deep into the mountain and surrounding the main entrances and exits, and bombing them with aircraft resulted in, up to yesterday, the destruction of more than 50 trenches, and the absence of any opportunity for armed groups to escape, as those all are signs indicating the elimination of armed elements.
