Tunisians worried about fall of Algerian tourists number

Tunisians worried about fall of Algerian tourists number
Tunis, Tunisia.

Tunisian press and parliament were talking these days about negative affects that may happen in Muslims religious month “Ramadan.” It will coincide with the tourist season in Tunisia especially that the largest number of tourists in Tunisia are Algerians or Libyans.

  •
  • Some Tunisian members of parliament asked their minister of tourism Khalil Ladjmi about this situation, he confirmed that he ordered a study in this regard.
  •
  • Tunisian newspapers warned of a possible decrease in financial resources earned by the Tunisian treasury from tourism sector. It reached about two billion U.S dollars but with the beginning of the holy month of “Ramadan,” the number of tourists likely will retreat.
  •
  • Tunisian newspapers also warned that hotels and touristy places would not be crowded as they are used to be. That would have a negative impact on the economic life in these places as well.
