UAE-Algeria Customs Cooperation Committee Holds First Meeting

The first meeting of the customs joint cooperation committee between the United Arab Emirates and Algeria has been held in Dubai recently to explore ways of giving a fresh impetus to the customs technical cooperation agreement, signed between the two countries in 2007.

• The customs cooperation agreement aims to discuss issues of mutual concern and exchange the experiences and information related to customs work and resolve impediments to trade exchanges between the two countries.

• The participants in the meeting recommended the administrative assistance in the customs affairs while appointing a team to activate the communication channels between the two sides in all issues of mutual concern.

• The committee members also agrred on the setting up of a coordination mechanism aimed at removing all the trade exchange hurdles still hampering the steady cooperation flow between the two brotherly countries.
